And there was light or shall we say a new formation ‘Essential Groovers’. Sometimes there is a special reason when people met each other. We don’t know why but these guys where at the right place and at the right moment. It was a Saturday night, in the club , January (2008), Jordi decided to make a little talk with the DJ when he heard his own production, so he entered Tommy’s dj booth and there it was, music, friendship, fun and magic!
On February the 1st , 2008 Tommy (Tommy the Sound) and Jordi (JVA) combined their forces and decided to work together. Both guys where born in Utrecht, The Netherlands and they share the same love, play and produce house music!
Tommy the Sound's dj adventure began in his hometown (year 1998) where he started to perform at some local bars. A few years later he was spinning in the biggest and hottest clubs. After playing all over the country he decided to finish his course first, before taking his next step, making his own productions.
In this hole period JVA was a hard working man in the studio. With several fine productions he already had the technical knowledge. His first release came out in the year 2000 and the tracks after that reached many dance trends charts and were licensed for several compilations in different countries like Germany, the UK, Spain, China and Australia.
If you mixed up this two guys together you get a special formula. The recipe of their productions containing house with a bit of groove and last but not leased banging uplifting beats with friendly bass lines. To create more atmosphere and good productions they prefer to work with live influences and real instruments. You can recognise their sound immediately, in one word the say that the produce: ‘Essential Grooves’.
